Registration Update
Musicians and venues are signing up on Gemini and the matchmaking is underway! The platform connects performers with locations so everyone has a place to play (or host) on June 21st.
Not registered yet? Now's the time:
- Musicians: Create your profile and share your style so venues can find you
- Venues & Hosts: List your space and browse available performers
The sooner you register, the better your match — don't wait until May!
Already registered but haven't been matched with a venue yet? Don't worry, we're actively working on connections. Reach out and we'll help find the right spot for your sound.
Show Us Why You Make Music
We're launching a social media campaign and you're the star. Record a quick reel on Instagram or Facebook telling us:
- Why you're excited to be part of Make Music Vermont this year
- A favorite memory from a past Make Music Day
- Why your fellow musicians and venues should sign up
This isn't a contest or giveaway — we just want to celebrate the people who make this event happen and spread the word through real voices in the community.
Here's how to participate:
- Record a short video (30–60 seconds is perfect)
- Tag @makemusicvt and use #makemusicvt so we can find it
We'll share your reel to our pages and help amplify your voice across the state Whether you've been part of Make Music Day for years or you're joining for the first time — we want to hear from you. 🎤

The Make Music Vermont Team
We are excited to share some big news: Make Music Vermont is gearing up for 2026 — and this year, we're growing.
Make Music Day takes place every year on June 21st, the summer solstice, when musicians of all levels and genres take to the streets, parks, porches, and stages across the world to celebrate the joy of making music. Vermont has been part of this global movement since 2016 — that's a full decade of Make Music Day celebrations across our state. We're proud to keep that tradition alive and thriving.
What's New for 2026
You may know Make Music Day in Vermont through the work of Big Heavy World, who did an incredible job championing and coordinating the event across the state since its Vermont debut in 2016. Starting this year, statewide coordination for Make Music Vermont has transitioned to a new team — and we're building on that strong foundation to make the event more connected, more supported, and more visible than ever.
Our goals for 2026 include:
- Supporting chapters across Vermont with resources, guidance, and coordination
- Strengthening statewide visibility through shared marketing and press outreach
- Making it easier for communities to participate — whether you're a longtime chapter or brand new to Make Music Day
Who We Are
The Make Music Vermont committee is made up of members from three Randolph-based organizations: The Underground — Recording Studio, Chandler Center for the Arts, and the White River Craft Center. We've been running Make Music Day in Randolph for the past six years, and we're now stepping up to coordinate the event statewide.
We're part of the global Make Music Day network — a celebration of music-making that takes place in over 1,000 cities worldwide every June 21st. Our job is to support chapters, connect communities to resources, and help make Vermont's contribution to Make Music Day as vibrant as possible. We're here to help — not to run the show in every town, but to make sure every town has what it needs to run their own.
Stay Connected
We've launched a brand new home for Make Music Vermont at makemusicvt.org — your go-to for resources, registration links, chapter info, and updates leading up to June 21. Bookmark it and check back often as we add more. Follow us on social media to stay in the loop and help spread the word:
