We're just 10 days out — Make Music Day is Sunday, June 21st! With 55 confirmed performances happening in more than 20 towns across Vermont, this is shaping up to be one of our biggest celebrations yet. Now's the moment to lock in the details and spread the word. Here's your checklist.

✅ Make Sure Your Listing Is Accurate & Complete

Take a few minutes to log in to the matchmaking platform and double-check your event listing — correct time, location, and details so people can find you on the day.

📣 Spread the Word

The more we all promote, the bigger the day. Please help get the word out everywhere you can:

• Post on social media, in your own newsletters, and on Front Porch Forum
• Send a press release to your local paper — local media love a good community story
• Tag @makemusicvt on your posts and add us as collaborators so we can amplify and reshare
• Use video reels and stories — they reach the most people and capture the energy best

🤝 Musicians & Locations: Get on the Same Page

If you've been matched, make sure you're on the same page and confirm the details with each other:

• Arrival and load-in time
• Set length and schedule
• Power/electricity and setup needs
• Sound, shade, and seating

A quick conversation now prevents day-of surprises.

🌤️ Weather Watch

So far the forecast is looking good — but you never know in Vermont, so make plans accordingly. Have a shade or rain backup in mind, bring water, and keep an eye on the forecast as the day approaches.

📸 Capture the Day

Take lots of photos and videos throughout the day! Share them online with #MakeMusicVT and #MakeMusicDay, tag us, and send your favorites our way after the 21st — we'd love to feature them and help document this year's celebration.
