What is Make Music Vermont?
Make Music Vermont is part of the international Fête de la Musique — a celebration of sound occurring annually on June 21st, the summer solstice. Joining over 1,000 cities in 120+ countries, Make Music Vermont is:
- Free to attend and participate in
- Open to all ages, genres, styles, and abilities
During the daylong event, communities across Vermont come alive with music. Performances take place on village greens, in parks, on front porches, at general stores, and farms.
Who Can Participate?
Anyone. Whether you're a professional musician or just like to strum alone in your living room, we want you. Make Music Vermont celebrates all music and all musicians — from Burlington to Brattleboro, from the NEK to Bennington.
How Does It Work?
- Musicians and locations register through the Make Music Vermont website
- Match up — musicians request locations; locations request musicians
- Perform — once matched, you're on the schedule!
